Vandemere United Methodist Church is located in Vandemere North Carolina in the County of Pamlico. Vandemere is affectionately referred to as “The Village by the Sea”. The Church was established in 1910. Today’s average attendance is sixty. We are small in number but great in heart and spirit. The congregation is growing all the time with young and old alike. Our pastor is Michael Roach. We have Sunday school services every Sunday with both children and adult classes followed by the worship service. We provide a Preschool Nursery during worship service.

We support many various causes, including but not limited to foreign mission work, charities and local families or individuals with needs. We also have a Helping Hands Warehouse that contains medical needs equipment that we loan to anyone. For more information email our Pastor at mgroach@vandemereumc.org

Our biggest funding raising project has become the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. It seems that our church and community have been hit hard by cancer. Each year since 2000 we have sponsored a team that walks in the Pamlico County Relay and last year (2005) we raised the most money for any team in the county. Our small but hard working congregation takes great pride in our church’s involvement in helping find a cure. Debbie Roach is our team captain.

Our church welcomes visitors and new members with “open hearts, open minds and open doors”. If you are ever in the neighborhood stop by for a visit, we will be watching for you.
